White water Rafting...

Enjoy the thrill of the rapids and its all hands to the paddles as there is no room for passengers, or its flat on your backsides and into the river. The exhilaration of unpredictably fast flowing rapids...

You arrive half an hour before the two-hour session to get kitted out and have a safety briefing. Wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets, and waterproof tops are provided. You need to wear a swimsuit and a top under the wetsuit. You must use the Buoyancy Aid, Cagoule and Helmet provided by the centre.
Bring a change of clothes and a towel and don't forget to take your watch and any jewellery off.
You need trainers or shoes that you don't mind getting wet for Llangollen

Both venues have changing rooms, and a café.

Bala (Tryweryn)

Grade 3-4 river. Fast moving river needs team effort to avoid rocks and swirls. Real adrenaline rush.
Up to 4 runs in a 2 hour session
Each raft holds between 4 and 7 people.

Llangollen

Grade 2-3 river. More of a fun session. You will be tipped in the river, do some swimming and body surfing.
Up to 2 runs in a 2 hour session...
No minimum or maximum number of people

Buggy karting...

Put your foot down in these one seater sturdy little devils, test your driving skills through mud and dirt, and against the clock, they are built for clumsy fun and you need all your skills to control them or you go careering off into the undergrowth..

You get full race gear, helmet, balaclava and need to wear sturdy footwear.

After a full safety briefing and practice laps you are off..

The event lasts for 2-3 hours..

Winner takes all, plus a photo for everyone

Clay pigeon shooting...

Become a member of the landed gentry for half a day, you need a not too shaky hand after the night before and a keen eye to watch the clay as it is fired from all directions and angles, and then as you score a hit as it splinters into a hundred pieces

After a safety briefing and instruction you get several practice shots and then the real test begins..

2-3 hours of competitive fun

All equipment is provided, but wear sensible footwear and appropriate clothing, including tops with sleeves, giving some shoulder protection.

Paintballing...

2 to 3 hours of grown up cowboys and Indians. The only legal way to shoot your friends, the activity needs cooperation and split second timing if you are to defeat the enemy..

After a full safety briefing, you split into teams and then using various zones and wartime scenarios, attack & defend your team's base.

Overalls, masks and 300 paintballs are included, enough to shoot the stag & best man..

Gorge scrambling...

Our expert instructors will guide you in ascending or descending a steep, rocky, riverbed. These gorges hold many surprises, slippery rock traverses, water jumps, and tight squeezes, lots of getting soaked..

We supply buoyancy aids, helmets, waterproof tops and wetsuits.
You need to bring trainers, a swimming costume, towel, a thermal (optional, not cotton) top and a fleece top or two, it can even be cold in mid summer so dress well.

Rock Climbing/abseiling...

This is an adventure experience that has it all - exertion excitement and pure adrenaline.
The singular sense of achievement of climbing to the top under your own steam and the heart stopping thrill of stepping backwards over the edge to Abseil back down.
Our expert instructors will guide you every step of the way.

All equipment is provided
Please bring warm clothing, waterproofs and trainers, jeans are not advisable.

Canoeing & kayaking

We have a fleet of kayaks with both closed cockpit and sit-on-top design. Kayaking is great fun on our local waterway and you will learn to paddle forwards and backwards, turn around and stop. We always run these sessions with lots of fun in mind so plenty of opportunity to get wet (or get your friends wet!)

You need to bring trainers or wet suit boots, a swimming costume, towel, a thermal (not cotton) top, a fleece top or two and a change of clothes

Mountain Biking

We try to make it easy for beginners, but this half day is enough for most. Getting up is hard, but coming down is worth every drop of sweat.
Wear trainers and bring water proofs and a full water bottle. A small rucksack between two is useful.

Windsurfing & Sailing

Set on the scenic Bala lake, you have choice of boats and boards, whether you are a complete beginner or need some tips this is an ideal waterspot in which to do that.

All equipment, boats and boards are provided, you do need a towel, swimming costume and trainers.

Horse Riding

For novices or accomplished riders, there are a range of options in the beautiful Gwyndyr forest. Everything from a 1 hour trail to a full days ride with a pub lunch!

All equipment is provided, along with a horse, you need strong shoes/boots and a well padded bottom.
